Feature:
KetuFile uses Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
Benefit: AES
is a "symmetric" encryption approach. It requires the same Key to be
used for encryption and decryption. This is so, so, much more superior to
Public-Key-Private-Key (PKPK), like RSA, PGP, Internet Explorer, etc., that the
U.S. National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) compares a 256 bit
AES-encrypted message to a 16,000 bit PKPK encrypted message. Think about that.
Feature:
KetuFile offers 512 bit encryption Key lengths. We believe that
the nearest competitor is at 256 bit Key length. 512 bits is not twice
as good as 256 bits. It is: a Trillion x Trillion x Trillion x Trillion x
Trillion x Trillion times better.
Benefit:
People have blithely ignored serious shortcomings in technology, procedures,
policies, etc. that had serious implications "at some future time".
The most well known of these was probably Y2K. Using 512 bit Key lengths now
will offer strong encryption into the future. Into the future means decades.
Anyone who is involved with national security information knows well that
"downgrade" times are 20, 30 or more years!
Feature:
KetuFile has excellent outbound email integration, i.e.
integration with existing email clients like Outlook and Eudora. Users of
KetuFile can send various files (word processor, spreadsheets, images, etc.) by
simply clicking button within KetuFile and having their email client launched.
Benefit: This
is extremely efficient and easy. It provides a fast integration of encryption
into the workflow of the user.
Feature:
KetuFile has excellent inbound email integration, i.e.
integration with existing email clients like Outlook and Eudora. Users of
KetuFile can receive email with attachments that are KetuFile encrypted, and
with two clicks, launch KetuFile for that attachment, and have it decrypted.
Benefit: This
is extremely efficient and easy. It provides a fast integration of encryption
into the workflow of the user.
Feature: Able to secure files on a portable
computer (notebook, laptop, etc.). The user can encrypt the files on
his/her PC and keep the Key for those files in another secure location (not on
the PC).
Benefit: Even if the computer is stolen, the files
are unreadable and unbreakable by any known means today. So in the end, a theft
results in a $1000 financial loss rather than a major "data catastrophe" and a
black eye for the organization that lost the computer.
Feature: The Chief Developer of the
KetuFile software is a retired military rocket scientist who had
23+ years with a Top Secret Crypto clearance. He designed/developed flight and
ground systems for 17 Earth-orbiting satellites, 3 upper stages, 2 primary
boosters and 1 Shuttle-attached system.
Benefit: The KetuFile software was developed with
the real needs of the defense industry in mind. It was developed by a veteran
defense industry engineer.
Feature: The Chief Developer of the
KetuFile software is a retired military Program Manager with 23+
years with a Top Secret Crypto clearance. He directly managed design groups as
large as 500 scientists and engineers. He was Program Manager and Scientific
Officer for more than $100 million in defense contracts. His single largest
project was the LACE satellite, which was funded at $154 million. He was a
GM-15 official for the last 5 years of his tenure at the Naval Research
Laboratory.
Benefit: The KetuFile software was developed with
a keen sense of the management needs of the defense industry. It was developed
by a veteran defense industry program manager.
Feature: The Chief developer of
KetuFile currently holds a security clearance.
Benefit: Customers can make inquiries and hold
consultations with the developer that might not be possible with un-cleared
personnel.
Feature: Government approved by U.S.
Department of Commerce.
Benefit: If U.S. contractors are collaborating
with foreign partners, KetuFile can be used by the foreign interests for
encrypting and decrypting of traffic and data between themselves.
