Feature: KetuFile uses Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).

Benefit: AES is a "symmetric" encryption approach. It requires the same Key to be used for encryption and decryption. This is so, so, much more superior to Public-Key-Private-Key (PKPK), like RSA, PGP, Internet Explorer, etc., that the U.S. National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) compares a 256 bit AES-encrypted message to a 16,000 bit PKPK encrypted message. Think about that.

 

Feature: KetuFile offers 512 bit encryption Key lengths. We believe that the nearest competitor is at 256 bit Key length. 512 bits is not twice as good as 256 bits. It is: a Trillion x Trillion x Trillion x Trillion x Trillion x Trillion times better.

Benefit: People have blithely ignored serious shortcomings in technology, procedures, policies, etc. that had serious implications "at some future time". The most well known of these was probably Y2K. Using 512 bit Key lengths now will offer strong encryption into the future. Into the future means decades.     The KetuFile family is strong 256 & 512 bit file encryption software that provides file security, data encryption, data security, using the AES encryption algorithm. The KETU software products are intended to provide security and file transfer for data files and executable files that are commonly found on a personal computer (PC). These include: text files, word processor files, spreadsheet files, image files, web page (html) files, etc. This software is designed to run on PCs that use the Windows(tm) operating system.
    The KETU products may be used to secure files (file encryption, data encryption, data security) for any purpose. These encryption software products have been designed to integrate well with Internet Email.

    All Ketu products use the advanced standard for encryption, the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). AES allows encryption keys up to 256 bits.
    Certain Ketu products allow 512 bits, using double AES.

    NOTE: The KetuFile programs accept keys that comprise uppercase and lower case letters and numbers. This results in an approximately 4-fold reduction of key states. Therefore a so-called KetuFile 256 bit key has approximately 2^252 states. A so-called KetuFile 512 bit key has approximately 2^508 states.

  • KetuFile
    This product allows a PC user to encrypt any file that resides on a PC, thus achieving strong file security and data security. The user runs the KetuFile software and then selects, through a standard GUI interface (graphical user interface) the file that is to be encrypted. In addition, the user must enter an Encryption Key, which is a series of numbers and/or letters.
    KetuFile will then create an encrypted version of the original file. The original file is left in-tact on the user's hard disk.
    The user may then proceed with a number of other actions depending on the purpose of the encryption. For example, the user may place the encrypted file on some backup medium, such as tape. The user may send an email to another party and attach the encrypted file. The user must convey the Encryption Key to the recipient of the email by some means other than the email itself. Examples of this include: phone, fax, courier.
